Sanrio Kawaii Me Live! Launches Globally in January 2027

Sanrio confirmed on Monday (21) that Sanrio Kawaii Me Live!, the first mobile game from the Sanrio Games brand, will launch worldwide in January 2027. Pre-registration for Sanrio Kawaii Me Live! is now open on the App Store and Google Play.

What happened?

The announcement was shared on the official website and via an official press release from Sanrio. Alongside the release date, the company dropped a concept PV, launched a milestone rewards campaign based on pre-registrations, and confirmed a launch concert in Yokohama on January 14, 2027.

Sanrio Kawaii Me Live! is a rhythm and dance game featuring Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, Pompompurin, My Melody, Kuromi, and other beloved characters. Players can dress up the characters and design stages. It features two modes: Performance, which is more accessible, and Technical, for a tougher challenge.

Music and Artists

In addition to remixes of classic Sanrio themes, Sanrio Kawaii Me Live! will feature original tracks from Universal Music-affiliated artists: Soala, SHE'S, Lienel, Polkadot Stingray, Yabai T-Shirts Yasan, and Mi'Line Hearts. On Monday, Sanrio also announced a special collaboration with the band ZUTOMAYO (Zutto Mayonaka de Ii no ni.).

The launch concert at Yokohama Kannai Hall will bring these artists together on stage alongside Kuromi's 3D persona and Sanrio characters. Tickets and additional cast details will be announced soon on the official event website.

Pre-registration and Rewards

The game is free-to-play with in-app purchases. The campaign combines pre-registrations and official social media followers. If it hits 1 million milestones, all players will receive a special Sanrio Games Hello Kitty outfit. There are also tier-based rewards including in-game items, gacha tickets, and an SSR character ticket.

The title was first teased in June at Sanrio Fes 2026, followed by a showcase by Sanrio Games at Tokyo Game Show 2026 in August.

Why it matters

Sanrio Kawaii Me Live! marks the debut mobile game from Sanrio Games, the company's dedicated gaming division. Combining rhythm gameplay, customisation, and high-profile music collabs, the title positions itself right alongside top Japanese mobile hits—this time with a simultaneous global launch from day one.
