QUIET tops Steam Scream Fest 5 demos with alien ducks in co-op horror

LINE Games announced on October 27, 2026, that QUIET, its in-development co-op comedy horror game, reached No. 1 in the Top Demos section on the opening day of Steam Scream Fest 5, Steam's horror festival.

In QUIET, players become alien ducks that crash-landed on Earth and must escape without waking the landlady. The game can be played solo or in co-op for up to four players, combining comical visuals with constant tension: any noise can give the group away.

The demo featured at the festival launched on October 22 on Steam and the Epic Games Store. It includes the arcade stage “Duck Out”, where cooperation gives way to competition among the ducks themselves, and a spaceship-themed lobby, plus limited-time Halloween decorations. According to the team, the build also brings optimization work for a more stable gameplay environment.

Interest did not start at the festival. According to LINE Games, about 350,000 players from 148 countries registered for the Steam playtest held through mid-September, producing around 1,200 videos and broadcasts and more than 800 survey responses. The company says it will refine the gameplay based on feedback gathered during the event.

Steam Scream Fest 5 runs through November 3, according to Inven Global, and LINE Games still targets a global official launch for QUIET in the first half of 2027.
