GTA VI Preload Begins November 10 and Requires Up to 212 GB

Rockstar Games has confirmed that digital preloading for Grand Theft Auto VI begins on November 10, 2026, nine days before the official launch on November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

What happened?

In a Newswire post and updated support page, Rockstar detailed the schedules and file size. On PS5, digital preload starts at midnight local time on November 10 in each region. On Xbox Series X|S, it begins globally at 12 a.m. GMT on the same day (which is 9 p.m. BRT on November 9).

The preload file may require up to 212 GB of free space depending on the device. Rockstar recommends freeing up space in advance. Physical code-in-box versions should be available in stores from November 12.

Why it matters

GTA VI is one of the most anticipated launches of the generation. Early preloading helps players with slower connections be ready on launch day. There is still no confirmed PC version at launch.
