PlayStation Plus in October: Mafia, Horizon and Mycopunk are in the catalog — and 3 more games arrive on the 27th

Sony confirmed on October 14, on the PlayStation Blog, the October PlayStation Plus Game Catalog lineup for Extra and Premium members. Most of the games arrived on October 20, but the month is not over for subscribers: three titles are scheduled for October 27 in the United States, the United Kingdom and Japan.

Available since October 20

The headliner of the main batch is Mafia: The Old Country (PS5), the mob story set in early-1900s Sicily, following Enzo Favara as he seeks a place in the Family. Alongside it came Horizon Forbidden West (PS5, PS4), returning to the catalog after leaving in 2024 — Sony labels it a PlayStation Plus re-release — and Mycopunk (PS5), the up-to-4-player co-op shooter that joined the catalog on its PS5 launch day worldwide.

Premium members also received, on October 20, the classics Dino Crisis 2 (PS5, PS4) and RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition (PS5, PS4), plus time-limited trials of Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and Mortal Shell II.

Available since October 14

The Midnight Walk (PS5), the clay-crafted dark fantasy adventure also playable on PS VR2, was the first of the month: it arrived on October 14 in the United States and the United Kingdom and on October 15 in Japan.

Arriving on October 27

Closing the October list, on the dates Sony gives for the United States, the United Kingdom and Japan: Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2 (PS5, PS4), Tales of Arise – Beyond the Dawn Edition (PS5, PS4) and Monster Energy Supercross 25 – The Official Video Game (PS5). Sony notes that catalog lineups may differ by region, so it is worth checking the PlayStation Store on release day.

Halloween extras

In the Horrorfest programming, the World War Z — Vibrant Halloween Skin Pack arrived on October 20, and from October 21 to November 4 members can download the first Back 4 Blood DLC, Tunnels of Terror Expansion 1, at no extra cost. The Dead by Daylight community challenge, from October 20 to 26, may unlock an exclusive pack if players reach 10 million matches in that period.
