Phantom Blade Zero sales: Chinese game surpasses 4 million copies in 72 hours

Phantom Blade Zero sales hit a record: the wuxia action RPG from Chinese developer S-Game achieved an impressive milestone shortly after launch. According to the studio’s official announcement, the game sold more than 4 million copies in its first 72 hours across available platforms.

Launch numbers

Phantom Blade Zero launched on October 29, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store and WeGame in China). Peak concurrent players on Steam reached 833,921, making it one of the year’s biggest launches on the platform. Most pre-orders came from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, according to earlier estimates.

The studio thanked players for their support on social media. The title is not available on Xbox, and the 4 million figure includes sales across all mentioned platforms and stores without a detailed regional breakdown.

Market context

The success reinforces the strength of Chinese studios in high-quality single-player action games, following the path of titles like Black Myth: Wukong. Phantom Blade Zero combines agile wuxia-style combat with cinematic visuals and received positive critical reception. A physical PS5 version is planned for 2027.

With this performance, the game positions itself as one of the highlights of late 2026 in the games scene.
