PETAFAB: Bot Invasion arrives on Steam November 6 for $9.99

Sebastian Aaltonen, a veteran developer with stints at Frozenbyte, RedLynx, Ubisoft, and Unity, has announced the release date for PETAFAB: Bot Invasion. The game launches on Steam on November 6, 2026, for $9.99, on Windows and macOS (Apple Silicon).

The official trailer was posted on X the same day, highlighting the new fluid simulation. The title is a fast-paced single-player FPS with 100% destructible environments and large-scale simulation of AI-controlled bot swarms.

Technology behind the game

PETAFAB uses a custom engine based on NoGraphicsAPI. Instead of traditional shaders, it employs distance-field ray tracing and mesh shaders. Full level destruction comes from an improved version of the Clayfield fluid and matter simulation technology, originally from Claybook (2018).

According to the developer, the game hits native 4K at 240 FPS on an RTX 4080, around 90 FPS native on Steam Deck OLED, and 60 FPS on MacBook Neo. Audio is by Ari Pulkkinen (Resogun, Nex Machina).

The premise

The story takes place in the world's largest robot factory, which has grown to the size of a city. After losing contact with the AI controlling it, special forces send three heroes to destroy the facility. Collateral damage is encouraged.

The announcement came directly from the developer on X, with the official site and Steam confirming the details. The game already has a Steam page and press materials available.
