Persona 4 Revival gets a Shadow trailer with new music and gameplay

Atlus has released the Shadow trailer for Persona 4 Revival, with new music and gameplay footage. It is the first video for the remake centered on Shadows, the manifestations of another self that the Investigation Team fights inside the TV.

The official description returns to Inaba: a string of unusual murders disturbs the quiet town, word of the Midnight Channel spreads, and the protagonist and his classmates try to connect the mysteries. Atlus’s text, quoted by Gematsu, talks about awakening Personas together and uncovering the truth within the fog. RPG Site describes the video as a trailer with new music and gameplay, released in English and Japanese.

What the trailer adds

Until now, Atlus had been releasing character trailers, from Yukiko to Naoto, and a features video. Shadow does not announce a new date, cast or platform. What it adds is a focus on fighting Shadows and a track that had not appeared in earlier materials.

The dates stay as previously confirmed. Persona 4 Revival launches on February 18, 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC, on Steam and the Microsoft Store. Nintendo Switch 2 follows on May 20, 2027. Gematsu also reports that the game will be on Game Pass; RPG Site’s note this morning does not repeat that detail.

Why it matters

The remake is Persona 4 reintroduced for a generation that met the series through Persona 5. A Shadows trailer, rather than another cast reel, is the first recent material showing the dungeon loop, what the game asks for after life in Inaba. There is still no official list of what changes versus Golden in this specific video.
