The tactical roguelite RPG Outcast Tales, developed by Hardlane Studio and published by Inner Pocket, arrives free on Steam on October 26, 2026. The release date was announced during the Convergence Games Showcase.
What is the game?
In Outcast Tales, the player assembles a party of three characters with unique personalities and abilities and takes them through a post-apocalyptic wasteland full of robots, mutants and desert raiders. Relationships between party members evolve during the adventure: they can become friends, fall in love or hate each other, influencing the narrative and gameplay.
A free demo is already available on Steam, covering a significant portion of a typical run. The full game will be free at launch.
Why does this matter?
The title stands out by placing character personalities and relationships at the center of the experience, alongside tactical combat. For fans of party RPGs and narrative roguelites, it offers a differentiated proposal with no entry cost.
