OnePlus framed the event around speed and named the OnePlus 16 among the first phones with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, the 2 nm SoC from the Snapdragon Summit.
Pre-event materials confirm ColorOS 17 (Android 17), a BOE X4 panel at 165 Hz system-wide and up to 185 Hz in supported games. Official colors are Dark Forest, Mars Masterpiece and Tomorrow's Starlight, the last with rear lighting. Memory configs run from 12 GB/256 GB to 16 GB/1 TB.
