What happened?
The NVIDIA RTX Spark platform arrives tomorrow, October 16, 2026, on Windows laptops and compact desktops. NVIDIA's announcement includes software updates, with the Nemotron 3.5 Bolt 74B AI model available starting today, October 15, optimized for local agents.
The RTX Spark superchip unites a Blackwell GPU with up to 6,144 CUDA cores and a Grace CPU with up to 20 cores, offering up to 128 GB of unified memory and 1 petaflop of FP4 AI performance. Pre-orders are already open for models from Microsoft (Surface Laptop Ultra starting at $2,599), ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo and MSI.
Why is this important?
NVIDIA RTX Spark marks a new generation of Arm-based Windows PCs designed to run artificial intelligence agents locally, create content and play AAA titles on the same device with high efficiency. The Nemotron 3.5 Bolt 74B is a Mixture-of-Experts model with 74 billion parameters (9 billion active per token) that fits in 24 GB thanks to 2-bit quantization and quantization-aware training.
The platform also arrives ready for gaming, with support for hundreds of titles such as Cyberpunk 2077, Fortnite, Hogwarts Legacy, Marvel Rivals, Gears of War: E-Day and World of Warcraft, plus anti-cheat systems and a faster version of DLSS 5 from launch.
What changes in practice?
With NVIDIA RTX Spark, developers and users can run large AI models without relying solely on the cloud, maintaining privacy and reducing inference costs. Tools like NVIDIA PAIR allow distributing AI workloads across local machines, while optimizations for Adobe Photoshop and Premiere are coming soon. Compact desktops follow in November.
