Nokia 2360 Flip: HMD's flip phone with SOS button and family remote control

HMD has unveiled the Nokia 2360 Flip, a simple clamshell feature phone aimed at senior citizens and school students, with a dedicated SOS button on the back and a family remote-management feature. The handset was announced on October 29, 2026, and began appearing in Southeast Asian stores in the following days, with a confirmed price in the Philippines on November 1.

Family Assist: family members set it up remotely

The highlight is Family Assist, a free app for Android and iOS that lets a relative configure and manage the phone remotely: adding contacts, adjusting volume, setting reminders and managing emergency settings. Communication happens over SMS, so the flip phone needs no mobile data connection. For children, there is also School Mode, which restricts use to the clock and emergency calls, plus a contact whitelist and app blocking, protected by a Family PIN.

A dedicated SOS button

Holding the SOS button for three seconds calls a pre-set emergency contact and sends text messages to up to five contacts at the same time. The button sits on the back of the handset, next to the camera, and is highlighted in orange in HMD's marketing material.

Basic specifications

According to HMD's official specifications, the 2360 Flip has a 2.8-inch QVGA main display and a 1.77-inch QQVGA external screen, a QVGA rear camera with LED flash, the S30+ operating system, 4 MB of RAM and 4 MB of internal storage, expandable via microSD up to 32 GB. The removable 1,450 mAh battery promises up to 15 days of standby or 27.5 hours of talk time. There is also FM radio, a 3.5 mm jack, USB-C, dual SIM and hearing-aid compatibility (HAC2011). The phone measures 111.85 x 55.56 x 18.95 mm, weighs 121 g and will be sold in Charcoal (dark grey), Burgundy Red and Teal.

The caveat: it is a 2G-only handset

The catch is connectivity: the Nokia 2360 Flip works only on 2G GSM networks (900/1800 MHz), with no 4G LTE support. In countries where 2G has already been switched off, the phone may simply not work — so it is worth checking local coverage before buying. It should not be confused with the HMD 2660 Flip Senior Edition, announced shortly before, which supports 4G.

Price and availability

At launch, HMD disclosed no price or global availability. In the following days, the model appeared in Malaysia for RM 207.90 and in the Philippines for PHP 2,790 at Nokia Mobile's official Shopee store, according to local reports from October 31 and November 1. So far, there is no confirmed price or date for other markets such as Brazil.
