Mycopunk 1.0 leaves Early Access and arrives on PS5 with day-one PlayStation Plus availability

Mycopunk 1.0, developed by Pigeons at Play and published by Devolver Digital, leaves Early Access this Tuesday, October 20, 2026, and reaches the full version on PC via Steam and on PlayStation 5. The title also enters the PlayStation Plus catalog (Extra and Premium) on launch day.

What is Mycopunk?

It is a cooperative shooter for up to four players in which a team of robot rejects hired by the SAXON corporation is sent to fight a fungal catastrophe on a planet. Players customize weapons and abilities in a grid-based upgrade system, dismantle enemies, and explore missions with humorous tone and colorful visuals.

The game entered Steam Early Access on July 10, 2025, and has accumulated around 4,800 reviews with a Very Positive rating (about 88% positive). Version 1.0 includes new content such as characters, weapons, and modes, according to the developer’s announcements.

Why it matters

For fans of co-op shooters in the style of Deep Rock Galactic or Borderlands, Mycopunk offers a chaotic and customizable experience at an accessible price of $14.99. Day-one availability on PS Plus expands the indie title’s reach to Sony service subscribers.

The launch consolidates the work of Pigeons at Play, which started the project as a student experiment before partnering with Devolver.
