Metro 2039: Pre-orders open for the new FPS from 4A Games launching February 2027

Deep Silver and 4A Games have opened digital and physical pre-orders for Metro 2039, the next chapter in the post-apocalyptic series set in the Moscow Metro. The game arrives on February 4, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store).

What happened?

Officially announced, the title features The Stranger, a reclusive protagonist haunted by nightmares, who is forced to return to the Metro on a journey of survival, exploration, combat, and stealth. A new feature is Blueprints, which allow crafting upgrades and attachments for weapons and gear through exploration.

All pre-ordered editions include the Specialist Pack as a bonus: three blueprints for early unlocks of backpack upgrades (Equipment Specialist Pouch for faster crafting, Chemtech Specialist Pouch for radioactive areas, and Munitions Specialist Pouch for rare ammunition). Players can equip only one at a time.

Editions and contents

  • Standard: base game (digital and physical).
  • Deluxe: base game + Story Expansion DLC (post-launch), digital artbook, and digital soundtrack.
