Insomniac Games surprised fans at San Diego Comic-Con 2026 by dropping a brand-new story trailer for Marvel's Wolverine, the highly anticipated PS5 exclusive set to hit shelves on September 15, 2026.
Contrary to what many expected, the footage isn't all about action: the spotlight is on a moment of vulnerability between Logan and Jean Grey (voiced by Krizia Bajos), who appears as an ally—rather than an enemy—in the protagonist's journey. The developer described the plot as an exploration of Logan's "fraught relationship with members of Team X."
Confirmed threats in the game include the relentless Lady Deathstrike and the Hand ninja clan, promising visceral close-quarters combat and a mature rating. Logan will be the sole playable character, featuring Liam McIntyre voicing the hero and an original score composed by David Fleming.
Fans who can't wait for the release can check out a prequel comic book, available now on Marvel Unlimited, designed to bridge narrative gaps ahead of the game's launch.
