What happened?
NetEase revealed the trailer for the new PvE mode in Marvel Rivals: Path to Doomsday - Avengers: Endgame. In the mode, up to 50 players gather in the ruins of the Avengers Compound to face Thanos and his army in an epic battle inspired by the film.
The mode arrives on October 24 (UTC) as part of Season 10.5. Players can choose any hero, including duplicates, and relive iconic moments from the Infinity Saga.
Why does this matter?
Marvel Rivals has already been exploring Path to Doomsday events with modes based on Infinity War and Age of Ultron. Endgame raises the scale to 50 players, something rare in hero shooters, creating a massive cooperative experience similar to multiplayer Dynasty Warriors.
Thanos appears at giant size and uses weapons capable of instantly eliminating heroes. The mode is free and part of the preparation for the Avengers: Doomsday film.
What changes in practice?
Starting October 24, players on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Epic can enter the 50-player PvE mode. It is a new way to use the full cast of Marvel Rivals heroes in a large-scale confrontation without relying on traditional 6v6 PvP.
