Mabinogi Mobile began official service in Japan on October 7, 2026, at 12:00 local time. Nexon confirmed the launch in a release and on the Japanese game site: devCAT’s online RPG rebuilds Erinn, the world of the 20-year-old Mabinogi series, on phone and PC with the same account.
What happened?
Pre-registration passed 300,000 people, according to Nexon. The game is on the Japanese App Store and Google Play, with a PC client. The pitch mixes combat, customization, cooking and housing, the home system called My Home, in a warmer look than the 2004 classic MMO.
The account is meant for smartphone and PC, but the launch notice already flags a known issue: some players still cannot switch the same account between the phone and PC versions. Day-one crossplay is not unqualified.
Why it matters
Mabinogi is one of Nexon’s pillars, alongside MapleStory and Dungeon & Fighter. Taking the IP to mobile with a PC client is an attempt to bring new players without leaving people who already live in Erinn on a computer. Japan is the market where the series has the longest history outside Korea.
On PC, the official minimum is an Intel Core i5 at 3.0 GHz, 8 GB of RAM, a GeForce GTX 9xx with 4 GB and 30 GB free, on 64-bit Windows 10. Recommended specs rise to a Ryzen 7 3700X, 16 GB and an RTX 2060 on Windows 11. On mobile, the listed minimum is a Galaxy S10 or iPhone XS, with 6 GB on Android and 4 GB on iOS.
What changes in practice?
Players who log in by December 31, 2026, at 23:59 can claim launch and pre-registration gifts: a layered outfit set, dye boxes, 10 launch fashion tickets and, for the 300,000 milestone, 40 more tickets, three dye boxes and the swordsman school uniform. A seven-day login gives the Formal School Look. Seven-stage growth missions close with the Antique Breeze beret.
- The home event asks for furniture and a My Home message.
- Friend invites run until December 2 at 5:59. Invitees get the Lovely Heart Balloon hood at level 65. Invitors can claim a reward up to three times when a friend reaches level 35.
- On the official X account, a daily draw through October 14 offers one 50,000-yen Amazon card and 99 cards of 1,000 yen per day for following the account and reposting the campaign post.
