Ludo Robotics, a subsidiary of KRAFTON — the company behind PUBG: Battlegrounds — presented Ludi 0.2 on Thursday, October 30, the new version of its intelligence system for socially intelligent robots. The presentation took place at the 2026 Bay Area Robotics Symposium (BARS) at the University of California, Berkeley.
Ludi 0.2 is not only about executing commands: it aims to better understand human intent, respond to feedback, interpret gestures and adapt when a situation changes. According to KRAFTON, the system advances on five fronts: social intelligence, memory and reasoning, tool coordination, gesture interpretation, and smoother, more adaptable physical movement.
The foundation is Ludi 0.1, launched in August 2026, which combined a vision-language model for reasoning and dialogue with navigation and manipulation. The next step, already in development, is Ludi 1.0, a foundation model intended to integrate perception, dialogue and physical action in a single system — a robot that talks, understands context and acts in real time, while keeping a shared understanding of the task with the person.
There is a direct link to games: KRAFTON says its virtual worlds, with millions of unpredictable players, were a training ground for systems that handle social behaviour in real time — including the co-playable characters (CPCs) developed with NVIDIA. Ludo Robotics, based in Palo Alto, California, with a lab in Seoul, wants to take that same intelligence into homes, workplaces and public spaces. For now, this is research and a system presented at an academic symposium, not a consumer product with a launch date.
