The art carries the credits ©2013 Project Love Live! and © Yoshinobu Nishizaki / Yamato 3199 Production Committee, according to the reproduction published by Final Weapon. The crossover short was released on video alongside the art.
Why now
The timing is no coincidence: the seventh and final chapter of Be Forever Yamato: REBEL 3199, titled Nijiiro no Rinne (Rainbow-Colored Reincarnation), opens in Japanese theaters on October 30, 2026. Geekiki previously covered the trailer and visual for that final chapter in September.
On the other side of the crossover, the Love Live! Hasu no Sora Jōgakuin School Idol Club anime premieres on January 10, 2027, at 10:30 p.m. Japan time on Tokyo MX, with 7 episodes — information Geekiki published on October 19. Editorial reading, not an announced fact: the collaboration brings the idol audience closer to the classic space opera just as both franchises have premieres coming up on the Japanese calendar.
Related coverage on Geekiki: the Hasunosora anime premieres on January 10, 2027.
