Lords of the Fallen II secures €28.6 million for Q1 2027 launch

CI Games SE has signed a €28.6 million syndicated credit facility, about $32 million, to finish production on Lords of the Fallen II and fund its global marketing campaign and launch in the first quarter of 2027. The announcement was made on October 30, 2026, and is classified here as CONFIRMED information, as it comes from a company statement reported by more than one independent outlet.

The facility was arranged by Polish banks Erste Bank Polska and Bank Ochrony Środowiska. According to the company, about 80% of the amount is guaranteed by KUKE, Poland's export credit agency, and the deal also allows the group to refinance all of its existing bank debt.

A key point highlighted by CI Games is that the launch will be funded without issuing new shares, preserving current shareholders' stakes. Marek Tymiński, president of the management board and the largest shareholder, has committed to hold his entire shareholding for the full term of the financing, which matures in August 2027. The company says it expects to repay the facility mainly from sales of the game.

In a statement, Tymiński said: “We have secured full financing for the launch of Lords of the Fallen II without issuing new shares.” The message underlines the announcement's central point: the project reaches its final stretch with funding secured and no shareholder dilution.

The context explains why the deal matters. Lords of the Fallen II is the sequel to the 2023 game, which CI Games says sold more than 2.5 million copies and reached more than 8 million players on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The new title was initially planned for 2026 and was delayed to the first quarter of 2027.

The company also confirmed it will announce the exact release date in December 2026, when the main marketing campaign begins. The game is planned for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC, launching day one on Steam and the Epic Games Store — a consequence of the 2026 termination of the deal that would have given Epic PC exclusivity. Development is by in-house studio Hexworks.

In practice, the financing removes one uncertainty but does not guarantee commercial success: the loan matures in August 2027, a few months after the launch window, and the company itself points to sales as the main source of repayment. The next visible step for the public will be a new episode of the “Lifting the Veil” series, due early the following week, followed by the exact date in December.
