Kingpin ASUS: overclocker returns to the extreme and confirms new talks

The Kingpin ASUS conversation is back at the center of extreme overclocking. Vince Lucido, known as Kingpin, posted a video on the Overclock Kingpin channel on October 2, 2026, and pointed to ASUS as a decisive part of the return.

What he confirmed

“If it wasn't for them continually reaching out to me, I doubt I'd even be making this video right now,” Lucido said, as reported by VideoCardz. He did not detail the project. He also said he does not want to set expectations yet and that he will discuss this part of the return on the new channel. There is, so far, no confirmation of a graphics card, motherboard or other Kingpin ASUS product.

The Overclock Kingpin channel is for PC hardware. His earlier channel, focused on e-bikes, stays separate. Lucido also said he is free of previous contractual limits and that he missed overclocking, a field he has been in for more than 25 years. The new studio, he said, has room for a dedicated bench.

Kingpin ASUS context

In January 2025, Lucido halted development of a GeForce RTX 50 Kingpin card that had been discussed with PNY. At the time he cited contractual limits and said ASUS had already approached him, without a deal. The return now is a Kingpin ASUS teaser, not a product launch.

Coverage is on VideoCardz, based on Lucido's YouTube video (Overclock Kingpin).
