Kingdom Hearts Collection Switch 2 arrives on October 8, 2026, and, according to the eShop listing cited by Nintendo Life, takes 131 GB if the player installs everything at once. Square Enix splits Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III] into three native apps, without the cloud version that marked earlier ports on the original Switch.
How much each part weighs
Nintendo Life details the separate sizes listed for Kingdom Hearts Collection Switch 2:
- Kingdom Hearts -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX: 54.1 GB
- Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue: 26.8 GB
- Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind: 45.2 GB
Added up, the three apps come to 126.1 GB. The full Kingdom Hearts Collection Switch 2 bundle is listed at 131 GB. Square Enix did not explain the gap in the report. Nintendo Life's practical advice is to free at least 130 GB before the download.
What is in the collection
The bundle gathers HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue and Kingdom Hearts III with the Re Mind DLC. Nintendo Life lists shelf prices of $74.99 and £64.99 for Kingdom Hearts Collection Switch 2, launching October 8. Separate purchases also appear in the store. The Nintendo Life page also notes a Game-Key Card physical release, so the card alone does not remove the download.
Why it matters
For anyone waiting for a real portable Kingdom Hearts, the new fact is storage. Switch 2 finally gets local versions, but the compilation trilogy will not fit on a small card. Anyone buying the package on October 8 needs to decide whether to download all three apps or start with one.
