The cooperative climbing game PEAK, developed by Aggro Crab and Landfall, will launch for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on October 22, 2026, with cross-play support across all platforms, including PC.
What happened?
Announced by the developers, the console ports arrive a little over a year after the original Steam launch in June 2025. The Switch 2 version includes all content updates released so far, such as additional biomes.
A physical edition for PS5 is also planned by Skybound Games, priced around $19.99, including an extra code for a friend and a passport kit.
About the PEAK game
PEAK is a first-person cooperative climbing game for up to four players. Players control lost scouts on a mysterious island and must climb the central mountain to be rescued. Any mistake can be fatal.
The title features proximity chat, four different biomes, climbing items, questionable foods, campfires and character customization. It supports solo mode and online multiplayer.
Why it matters
The game became an indie success on PC, with millions of copies sold and acclaimed as cooperative "friendslop". The arrival on Switch 2 and other consoles with cross-play expands its reach and allows playing with friends on different platforms.
