October 2026 ID@Xbox Showcase brings 18 indie games with world premieres today

The ID@Xbox Showcase for October 2026 takes place today, October 20, at 10am PT (2pm BRT), in partnership with IGN. The event presents trailers, gameplay, and “tons” of world premieres from around 18 independent games coming to Xbox and PC.

What happened?

Microsoft and IGN announced the broadcast to highlight the ID@Xbox program aimed at independent developers. Confirmed titles include The Wolf Among Us Remastered, the remake of Telltale Games’ noir adventure based on DC’s Fables comics, and games from publisher Critical Reflex.

The remaster of The Wolf Among Us launches on October 29 for PS5, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Switch, and PC, featuring a Noir mode (black and white), enhanced visuals, and more than an hour of bonus content. The showcase is expected to show more details or new gameplay.

Why does this matter?

Indie showcases like ID@Xbox are one of the main windows for smaller games to gain visibility in a saturated market. With thousands of annual Steam releases, events like this help quality titles stand out and frequently include Game Pass announcements.

The presence of a remaster of a Telltale classic also attracts fans of choice-driven narratives, while the world premieres promise to reveal still-unknown projects.

What changes in practice?

Xbox and PC players can follow the live stream to discover new games that may enter Game Pass or gain store prominence. For developers, it is an opportunity for wishlists and press coverage.

The broadcast will be available on IGN (YouTube, Twitch, website) and official Xbox channels. After the event, detailed recaps with all announcements are expected.
