Honor has quietly put the Honor X8e 4G on sale in Azerbaijan, a new entry-level model in its X series that bets on a large battery, reinforced durability and a high-resolution main camera, with no global launch event. The phone appeared on Honor's Azerbaijan page and at local retailers, according to GSMArena, and it has no confirmed date or price for other markets, such as India.
The highlight of the spec sheet is the 7,700 mAh battery, with 45W Honor SuperCharge fast charging. The display is a 6.87-inch TFT LCD with HD+ resolution of 1,592 x 720 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 1,020 nits. Inside, the model uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 processor, with 6 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, and ships with MagicOS 10, based on Android 16. As a 4G-only model, it has no 5G support.
For photography, the X8e has a 108 MP rear main camera with an f/1.75 aperture, alongside an auxiliary lens, with video recording limited to 1080p by the chipset, and a 5 MP front camera. Software features include AI Image to Video, which turns photos into short clips, and a dedicated AI button for quick access to supported tools.
Durability is another pillar of the device: it carries IP68, IP69 and IP69K dust and water resistance ratings, including high-pressure and high-temperature water jets, plus an SGS Premium Performance 5-star impact-resistance certification, with laboratory drop tests from up to 2.5 metres, according to the reports. The screen recognises touch input when wet, and there is a dedicated underwater photo mode. The model also includes NFC and comes in Sunrise Orange, Desert Gold and Velvet Black.
At retailers in Azerbaijan, the single 6 GB/256 GB version is listed between AZN 688 and AZN 820, roughly $400 to $480. GSMArena's comparison puts the price close to a Galaxy A08 4G in the same market, but with twice the storage. One caveat: the X8e is almost identical to the Honor X7e Plus 4G, launched in August, which has a slightly larger 8,100 mAh battery — so anyone familiar with the older sibling will find few changes beyond the 108 MP camera and the battery adjustment.
