Sony has revealed the first official GTA 6 controllers for the PS5, and the announcement is already making huge waves among fans of the most anticipated game in recent years. There are two DualSense models—the official wireless controller for the PlayStation 5 featuring immersive haptic feedback and adaptive triggers—with a color-shifting finish directly inspired by the aesthetics of Vice City, the fictional city (based on Miami) where the game is set.

What Was Announced
These are two limited-edition releases. The black version captures 'the energy of Vice City's iconic nightlife,' featuring dark tones and neon accents, while the white version represents 'Vice City at dawn,' boasting bright sands and pastel sky tones. Both feature molded palm tree details directly on the controller's body alongside the official GTA 6 logo.
Pre-orders open on September 10 at 7:00 AM (ET, based on Sony's US timezone announcement), and the controllers will reach players' hands on November 19, with free launch shipping for early buyers. They are priced at $84.99 (around €84.99 / £74.99, with official pricing for other regions to be confirmed). The white edition will see a global retail release, while the black edition will be exclusive to the official PlayStation Direct store in supported countries.
Why It's Trending
Grand Theft Auto 6 is easily one of the most anticipated games in history—even without a definitive release date yet, any news related to it goes viral instantly. Branded themed controllers are usually among the first official pieces of merchandise to drop ahead of the game itself, serving as a direct gauge of the hype: fans are already debating on social media which of the two colors is their favorite and whether they'll try to import the exclusive model.
What Remains Unknown
Sony has not confirmed whether the controllers will feature any custom in-game functionality specifically tailored for GTA 6 (as seen with past themed hardware releases) or if an Xbox version is planned. There is also no official release date for the game itself at this time—only for the accessories.
