Sucker Punch Productions, the studio behind Ghost of Tsushima, has confirmed that Ghost of Yōtei — the samurai and ninja action game set in feudal Japan released in 2025 — is getting a "Complete Edition" packed with new content, including the return of a fan-favorite character: Jin Sakai, the protagonist of the series' first game.

What Changes in the Complete Edition
The complete edition bundles the original Ghost of Yōtei game, the "Legends" co-op mode (where up to four players face enemies together), the brand-new "Most Wanted" mode, and the "Echoes of Sekigahara" story expansion. Players who already own the base game will be able to purchase an upgrade pack for just $14.99 instead of buying the entire package again.
A Roguelike Mode Called Most Wanted
"Most Wanted" is a single-player roguelike survival mode — a format where challenges get progressively harder with each run and characters grow stronger along the way, but players start from scratch if defeated. In this mode, players choose a character, accept bounty contracts with escalating rewards, and unlock upgrades ranging from weapon mastery to survival gear and abilities.
Why Jin Sakai's Return Is Big News
Jin Sakai was the protagonist of Ghost of Tsushima (2020), one of the most acclaimed games of the PlayStation 4 era, and being able to control him again is the part of the announcement that has fans most excited. According to Sucker Punch, the character model has been completely rebuilt to stay faithful to the original, and he arrives in "Most Wanted" featuring his four classic combat stances, a short bow, a sticky bomb, and the signature "Dance of Wrath" special ability to disarm multiple enemies at once.
