The special program Genshin Impact 7.2 Hour of Ruin takes place today, October 23, 2026. HoYoverse is broadcasting at 8:00 AM Eastern Time (UTC-4), which is 1:00 PM Brasília time, on the official Twitch and YouTube channels.
What happened?
HoYoverse announced the event on October 21, confirming that the Genshin Impact 7.2 Hour of Ruin program will bring details on the new content of version 7.2, including quests, events, banners, and Primogem redemption codes. The theme continues the exploration of the Snezhnaya region, following the start of the arc in 7.1.
The special program is the company's traditional format for presenting news before an update launches, with trailers, character presentations, and practical information for players.
Why is this important?
Genshin Impact remains one of the most popular live-service games in the world. Each version update brings new characters, explorable areas, and systems that directly impact the player base. The Genshin Impact 7.2 Hour of Ruin generates high expectations and usually reveals the banners for the upcoming phases, influencing wish decisions and Primogem economy.
Additionally, the redemption codes distributed during the stream are time-limited and represent valuable free resources for the community.
What changes in practice?
Players who watch the Genshin Impact 7.2 Hour of Ruin program can obtain Primogem codes and other rewards. Information about banners will help plan pulls, especially for those following the Snezhnaya arc. The update itself does not yet have a confirmed date, but the special program usually precedes the launch by a few days.
The broadcast is available on the official channels: Twitch at twitch.tv/genshinimpactofficial and YouTube on the Genshin Impact channel. The waiting room opens 15 minutes early.
