Update: Genshin Impact 7.2, titled Hour of Ruin, is available from November 4, 2026, after maintenance scheduled for 06:00 to 11:00 (UTC+8) — 19:00 on November 3 to 00:00 on November 4 in Brasília time. This is the follow-up to Geekiki's October 26 announcement, which already previewed the date, the new Snezhnaya region and the characters Mitya and Valeriy; what changes now is that the content has moved from announcement to the live game.
The centrepiece is eastern Snezhnaya, with the subterranean city of Novokitezhgrad, Wingspan Peak and Old Kitezhgrad, plus the continuation of the Archon Quest in Chapter VII, Acts V, Hour of Ruin, and VI. The story brings representatives of the seven nations together in the face of the Holy Soil crisis, according to HoYoverse's official announcement — without spoiling its outcome here.
In Phase 1 of the banners, from November 4 to 24, Mitya, a 5-star Electro Catalyst character, and Valeriy, a 4-star Electro Sword character, debut alongside a Furina rerun. The 5-star weapon Starsealed Edict accompanies the phase. Mitya converts the party's Superconduct reactions into Stellar-Conduct, the version's central mechanic, while Valeriy provides a shield and boosts Electro damage, especially for Stellar-Conduct teams.
HoYoverse's maintenance preview provides 300 Primogems in maintenance compensation for players at Adventure Rank 5 or above, calculated at 60 Primogems per hour of the estimated 5-hour window. The claim deadline should be checked in the in-game notice, as it may differ between compensations.
The version's flagship event, Grand Defense: Defy the Unjust Judgment, follows the Archon Quest and includes the chance to invite a 4-star character, according to the official material. The version also expands the Miliastra Wonderland creation tools, with new photo, camera and stage-editing controls. Before spending resources, check the game for the exact banner and event dates, rates and conditions, which may vary by server.
