The October Game Pass wave is now official. In an Xbox Wire post on October 7, 2026, Microsoft listed arrivals including Battlefield 6, Valor Mortis and Forever Ago, plus departures on October 15 that include Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and A Plague Tale: Requiem. Gematsu also reported the list.
What happened?
The official post splits entries by date and plan. On October 8, three games join on launch day for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass: Echo Weaver (cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC), Forever Ago (cloud, console and PC) and Neon Abyss 2 (cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC), the last also on Game Pass Premium.
Echo Weaver is a knowledge-based metroidvania in which time is the main resource and secrets act as upgrades. Forever Ago, from Annapurna, is a road-trip adventure in which Alfred heads north after a stroke of fate and records memories with a camera. Neon Abyss 2 is a pixel-art action roguelike set in cyberpunk New Athens.
On October 13, Battlefield 6 arrives on cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC for Ultimate and PC Game Pass. The same day brings day-one Deep Dish Dungeon and Valor Mortis. Microsoft describes Battlefield 6 as large-scale warfare, close-quarters combat and tactical destruction. EA Play members, included with Ultimate, can unlock the EA Play Deployment Pack, the Season 5 EA Play Pack and seasonal rewards, plus 10% off eligible EA digital purchases.
Valor Mortis is a first-person soulslike from the creators of Ghostrunner: you rise from death as a former soldier in Napoleon's army. Deep Dish Dungeon is a survival exploration game in a hand-crafted dungeon, solo or online co-op.
On October 15, day-one Bluey's Happy Snaps and Chained Beasts join Ultimate and PC Game Pass. On October 16, PC-only Beyond These Stars arrives on day one: a city builder on the back of a space whale.
Why it matters
The wave mixes a big catalog title with same-day launches. Battlefield 6 is the widest name, but the October 8 day-one games lower the cost of trying new releases. On the other side, the October 15 exits remove games many subscribers may not have finished.
Leaving on October 15: A Plague Tale: Requiem, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Crime Scene Cleaner, Donut County, Evil West, Nova Roma (Game Preview, PC only), Pacific Drive, Superball and The Casting of Frank Stone.
What changes in practice
