Fangtopia launches today on PC, PS5 and Switch 2 as a cozy hex puzzle

Fangtopia arrives on Monday, October 26, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. Developed by Absolutely Games and published by Secret Mode, it is a cozy hexagonal tile-laying puzzle with a Halloween theme — no jump scares and no clock in its main mode.

The core loop is easy to grasp and hard to master: players draw tiles from a stack and place them on the map, connecting matching terrain to score points. Reaching score goals unlocks landmarks, and completing their objectives adds more tiles to the stack. The kingdom grows gradually, with towns, forests, misty mountains, rivers and ghostly railways.

Creatures arrive from the sea: by expanding islands toward portals, players summon scarecrows, giants, werewolves and other characters, who move into the kingdom. A Sticker Book records every creature met and every tile unlocked, so players can complete the collection.

There is more than one way to play. Fangtopia mode focuses on short, relaxing sessions; Island mode challenges players to connect islands with tracks for the Ghost Train; and Ghoulish mode allows bigger, more detailed builds. Score chasers can climb global leaderboards, while calmer players can simply build a beautiful world at their own pace.

On PC, the game launches on Steam, the Epic Games Store and Stove, and a free demo was already available on Steam before launch, with sessions capped at 1,000 points per run. It is a good way to test the tile-laying loop before buying the full game.
