DuneCrawl arrives on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Android on October 19, Alientrap confirmed. Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch versions come later in 2026, with no locked date. The announcement came from the studio’s official account and was reported by Gematsu.
What the game is
DuneCrawl is an open-world action adventure in which up to four people explore a desert aboard a giant crab, the Crab Crawler. According to the studio, the goal is to help the Polloi pilgrims in their war against the Ceramicist’s invasion. Jar-headed Vassals, bug hordes, oasis islands, and dungeons fill the route.
The title launched on PC via Steam on January 5. The store page is app 1833200. The new trailer covers the console and Android versions, not a new campaign.
How it plays
DuneCrawl co-op works locally or online with up to four players. Solo players get a ghostly companion. Exploration covers dozens of islands, quests, secret dungeons, and loot.
Masks, tunics, and talismans unlock abilities. Alientrap’s listed arsenal includes the Buzzooka and the Acid Harpoon. The crawler itself can gain spike-armored legs, guided torpedoes, and even a hat and paint job. In sand-sea combat, the crew mans cannons, repairs damaged legs, and can launch into boarding actions.
Besides the crab, players can ride multi-saddle beetles, fast nymphs, armored scorpions, and Ball Bugs. On foot, combat uses hand weapons and local wildlife such as Bomb Flowers, beehives, and spider eggs.
What is not confirmed
Alientrap did not detail console pricing or whether there will be an upgrade path between Switch and Switch 2. There is also no tighter window than “later in 2026” for the Nintendo handhelds. What is locked is the PS5, Xbox Series, and Android trio on October 19.
