Donkey Kong Bananza Emerald Rush: DLC events return today on a 12-month loop

Nintendo has confirmed that the limited-time events in the Donkey Kong Bananza Emerald Rush DLC are back as of today, October 1, 2026. The 12-month monthly rotation copies the original calendar and runs through September 2027, according to Nintendo’s Japanese site and reports from Nintendo Life and GoNintendo.

What happened?

Emerald Rush, part of the paid DK Island & Emerald Rush DLC for Nintendo Switch 2, spent the past year on a one-event-per-month schedule. Each window offered challenges with predetermined elements and two exclusive statues. September’s Bananza Antics closed the first loop with Candy Kong and Funky Kong statues.

Instead of ending the calendar, Nintendo restarted the same sequence. October opens with Chip Fever, followed by So Strong It’s Funny, Dig to the Beat, Freeze Break, Ostrich Riches, Unyielding Riches, Rattlin’ Snake Bananza, Kong Bananza Returns, Elephant Bananza Stampede, Bobbing for Baubles, Lagoon Dash and Bananza Antics.

Why it matters

Players who bought the DLC late or missed a month now have a full extra year to collect the Donkey Kong Bananza Emerald Rush statues. The content is not remixed.

What changes in practice

You need the base game on Switch 2 and the paid DLC. Emerald Rush unlocks after the main story, by talking to an Elder and using the Warp Gong.
