The second season of Delicious in Dungeon Season 2 (Dungeon Meshi) received new character visuals today, October 23, 2026, showing Falin, Kabru, Mithrun and Thistle as they will appear in the new season produced by studio TRIGGER.
What happened?
The anime's official social media shared the artworks, including mini versions of the characters. Delicious in Dungeon Season 2, which premieres in October 2027 exclusively on Netflix, continues with direction by Yoshihiro Miyajima, script by Kimiko Ueno, character designs by Naoki Takeda and music by Yasunori Mitsuda.
The first season, also by TRIGGER, premiered in January 2024 and adapted the first half of Ryoko Kui's manga, which ended in 2023. The new season of Delicious in Dungeon is expected to cover the later arcs, including Falin's return in her chimera form.
Why does this matter?
Delicious in Dungeon was one of the most praised anime of 2024, blending dungeon crawler adventure with creative cooking and humor. The new visuals of Season 2 maintain TRIGGER's characteristic style and raise anticipation for the global continuation on Netflix.
The premiere of Delicious in Dungeon Season 2 is set for October 2027, giving time for the production to complete the adaptation of the remaining volumes of the manga published by Yen Press in the West.
