Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor arrives on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch on October 7, 2026. Ghost Ship Publishing and Funday Games confirmed the date and, in the same announcement, unveiled the Knockout expansion, which still has no release date.
The game is a single-player spin-off of co-op Deep Rock Galactic. Instead of aiming, the dwarf fires automatically while the player runs, mines and stacks upgrades amid insect hordes on planet Hoxxes. The usual comparison is Vampire Survivors, plus the series' procedural caves and mining.
What comes to consoles
Survivor entered early access on PC on February 14, 2024. Version 1.0 shipped on Xbox Series and Steam on September 17, 2025, and on phones on November 12, 2025. PlayStation and Nintendo were the missing platforms; all three now launch together on October 7.
The Steam page (app 2321470) lists four characters, dozens of weapons and a perk, artifact and upgrade system. Each mission generates a different cave and wave pattern.
Knockout Expansion
The DLC announced in the same package adds:
- the Brawler class;
- the Sandblasted Corridors biome;
- a high-risk mission with new objectives and a boss.
No expansion date was given. The announcement is on Gematsu and was covered by Nintendo Life.
Why it matters
Survivor was already one of the better-reviewed survivor-likes on PC and Xbox after Vampire Survivors. Bringing it to PS5 and both Switches, with a new-class DLC in the same note, completes the series' platform map while the genre is still growing.
Console pricing was not highlighted in the date announcement. PC and Xbox players do not need to wait: 1.0 has been out since 2025.
