South Korean developer Mintrocket, a subsidiary of Nexon, has confirmed that Dave the Diver has surpassed 10 million copies sold worldwide. Local media reports note this makes it the first paid single-player game from a Korean studio to cross this major milestone.
What happened?
The Dave the Diver milestone was announced on September 8, 2026, via Steam and official social channels. The figure accounts for sales across PC, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, Xbox, and other channels since its early access launch in 2022 and full release in June 2023.
The In the Jungle DLC, released in June 2026, has already topped 1 million sales in just about two months. Meanwhile, the iOS and Android versions are slated to arrive on September 17.
Why does this matter?
South Korea is globally renowned for online free-to-play titles. Dave the Diver carves out a different path: a premium, single-player game blending daytime diving with a nighttime sushi restaurant that continues to sell strongly three years after launch.
Consistent updates, crossovers (including Fortnite), and new DLC have helped turn the title into a full-fledged franchise rather than a one-hit wonder. The next confirmed step is the spin-off Bancho the Chef, which puts the game's beloved sushi chef in the spotlight.
What's next?
Players who haven't dived in yet can find the title on Steam, PlayStation, Nintendo, and Xbox. Existing fans can look forward to the mobile launch on September 17 and the upcoming cooking spin-off. Mintrocket director Hwang stated that the studio remains overwhelmed by the public's continued affection and promised exciting new plans for the franchise ahead.
