Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5, also known as the Edgerunners 2 Update, was released by CD Projekt RED on October 22, 2026 for PC (Steam, GOG, Epic), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The Nintendo Switch 2 and Mac App Store versions arrive in the following days.
Main additions of Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5
Among the most anticipated features is the Double Trouble perk in the Cool skill tree, which allows dual-wielding of Power-category pistols and revolvers. Photo Mode received specific poses for the new playstyle.
It is also possible to customize the appearance of hand cyberware (Mantis Blades, Gorilla Arms, Monowire and Projectile Launch System) at five Glamdocs scattered across Night City, each with its own catalog of colored skins.
Edgerunners content
The update adds the side quest “Clampdown”, set before the events of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners season 2, a gear set based on the character King and a new radio station HKGN 102.0 FM featuring tracks from the series. It also includes cross-platform mod support via mod.io and technical improvements such as DLSS 4.5 and an FOV slider on consoles.
Why it matters
Months after the second season of the anime, CDPR continues to actively support the game with relevant free content. Dual-wielding was a long-standing community request and opens new build possibilities.
