Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5 arrives tomorrow with dual-wielding, console mods, and Edgerunners 2 content

The Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5 arrives October 22, 2026 for PC, Mac (Steam, GOG, Epic), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, as announced by CD Projekt Red. The Nintendo Switch 2 and Mac App Store versions follow a few days later.

What's new in Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5?

The highlight of the Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5 is the new dual-wielding playstyle. The Double Trouble perk in the Cool tree lets you use two Power-category pistols or revolvers at once, supported by four auxiliary perks.

Cross-platform mod support via mod.io is also coming. Players on PC, Mac, PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2 can browse and install selected mods directly from the in-game menu. More mods will be added over time.

Edgerunners 2 content

A new side quest called Clampdown serves as a prequel to Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2. Unlock it by completing The Heist and two gigs for Wakako. It includes a 5-piece gear set based on the character King and features voice actors from the anime.

A new radio station, HKGN 102.0 FM, plays tracks from both seasons of Edgerunners. There is also the Welcome to Paradise side quest, a guided tour of Night City narrated by Richard Night with a mystery to solve.

Customization and quality of life

Five new Glamdocs let you visually customize arm cyberware (Mantis Blades, Gorilla Arms, etc.). New clothing, hairstyles for V, Trading Card Game frames in Photo Mode, and an FOV slider on consoles are also included.

Technical improvements include DLSS 4.5 support (with Multi Frame Generation), performance optimizations, HDR improvements, and various fixes. Check the official notes and coverage from Eurogamer and The Verge for more details.
