Croc 2 remaster launches October 29 on PS5, Switch and PC

The remaster of Croc 2: Kingdom of the Gobbos launches on October 29, 2026, Argonaut Games announced. It comes to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam and GOG.

The announcement closes the loop opened by the 2025 remaster of Croc: Legend of the Gobbos. At the time, Argonaut treated a sequel remaster as an intention if the first sold well. The 1999 follow-up now has a date.

What comes back with the crocodile

The premise follows the original. The night before the new adventure, Professor Gobbo sees the Dantinis resurrect Baron Dante and is taken prisoner. Croc finds a message on the beach at Gobbo Valley: his birth parents are looking for him. The trip to the mainland becomes a showdown with Dante.

The map opens four villages, each with a distinct Gobbo culture: Sailor, Cossack, Caveman and Inca. There are more than 40 levels, missions to rescue Gobbos, and Swap Meet Pete's store, where the cat sells gadgets and teleports the player between villages.

The classic moves remain, with a new triple jump. Car, speedboat, minecart, hang glider and airplane sections also return. Guardians named by Argonaut include Soveena the Squid, Cannon Boat Keith and Flavio the Thermal Fish.

Croc2pedia

The documentary extra repeats the idea from the first remaster. The Croc2pedia gathers design documents, marketing material, animation tests, 3D models of cut content and interviews with the original team and the remaster developers.

Argonaut's official page already lists wishlists on Steam, PlayStation, Switch, GOG and Xbox. Push Square, covering the date trailer, also noted that the studio is calling the month Croctober and plans to share series updates on social channels. Price was not detailed in the sources consulted.
