Remedy Entertainment announced that the supernatural action game Control Resonant has surpassed 1 million copies sold in just three weeks since its launch on September 24, 2026.
The title became the fastest launch in the Finnish studio's 31-year history, beating the time it took Alan Wake 2 to reach the same milestone (about two months).
What happened?
Control Resonant is available on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store). Physical editions have also recently arrived in stores.
The game is the direct sequel to Control and puts players in control of Dylan Faden in a Manhattan overrun by paranormal threats.
Why it matters
Remedy has historically produced critically acclaimed games with more modest sales. Hitting 1 million so quickly in an extremely competitive release window is a strong signal for the studio, especially as its first major self-published title of this scale.
