CONTROL Resonant named Game of the Year at the NYX Game Awards 2026

CONTROL Resonant, by Remedy Entertainment, has been named Game of the Year in Season 2 of the NYX Game Awards 2026. The announcement was made on Friday (October 30, 2026) by the International Awards Associate (IAA), the program's organizer, in New York.

According to the IAA, the Game of the Year prize goes to the highest-scoring entry among the game categories, recognizing in CONTROL Resonant the combination of supernatural action, an immersive world and a reality-warped Manhattan, with dynamic combat, extraordinary abilities and a shapeshifting weapon.

Season's special recognitions

Beyond the main prize, Season 2 honored four titles in specific areas of game creation and player experience:

  • Indie Game of the Year: Denshattack!, by Undercoders;
  • VR Game of the Year: Scary Baboon, by ENVER;
  • Ongoing Game of the Year: Pokémon GO, by Scopely Explore;
  • RPG Game of the Year: The First Berserker: Khazan, by Nexon.
