The Code Geass franchise now has a year and a teaser for its next original Sunrise anime. CODE GEASS Star Chaser Aspal premieres in 2027. The announcement arrived with a short trailer on the official channel and the site geass.jp/aspal.
The project was unveiled in December 2025 as part of the series' 20th anniversary. What is new is the release window and the first audiovisual cut: the teaser shows a largely premodern setting, archers, and a combat machine — the Agalmata — advancing on them. The full plot has not been revealed. There is no official confirmation that the title shares Lelouch's continuity or sits on a parallel line.
