Castlevania Belmont's Curse arrives tomorrow, October 15, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC. This new Castlevania Belmont's Curse marks the franchise’s return to traditional 2D action-exploration, celebrating the series’ 40th anniversary.
What is Castlevania Belmont's Curse?
Developed by Evil Empire and Motion Twin (the studios behind Dead Cells) in partnership with Konami, Castlevania Belmont's Curse is set in 1499, 23 years after Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse. The protagonist is Rose Belmont, daughter of Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belnades, facing creatures in a burning Paris.
Combat revolves around the Vampire Killer whip, with agile movement mechanics, an Arcana system (abilities from defeated bosses) and weapon/relic customization. Fans of Castlevania Belmont's Curse can expect a modern and fluid metroidvania.
Editions and price of Castlevania Belmont's Curse
The Standard Edition of Castlevania Belmont's Curse costs $29.99. The Midnight Edition ($39.99) includes an art and sound gallery, plus Trevor, Sypha costumes and the Family’s Grace relic. Pre-order grants the Alucard costume.
A free demo has been available since October 1, with transferable progress to the full game.
