Call of Duty RTX Spark arrives in 2027 and brings anticheat to Windows on Arm

Call of Duty RTX Spark was confirmed on Wednesday, October 7: the franchise reaches those PCs at some point in 2027. The news came from the joint Microsoft and Nvidia event in San Francisco, the same stage as the preorders and the Surface Laptop Ultra, but with its own timeline and technical problem.

In the official Windows stream, the line was direct: in 2027, Call of Duty is coming to RTX Spark. Hundreds of AAA and indie games are expected to run at platform launch, with devices shipping from October 16. Activision's franchise is not in that first wave.

What happened?

RTX Spark is Nvidia's line of Windows PCs with a Blackwell GPU, a Grace CPU of up to 20 cores, up to 128 GB of unified memory and about 1 petaflop of FP4 AI performance. Nvidia says the platform can run games at 1440p above 100 frames per second with DLSS, Reflex and G-SYNC, and can also run local models. Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, MSI and Gigabyte are preparing machines.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches on October 23, 2026, on PS5, Xbox Series, PC and Switch 2. The event announcement did not name that title. It named the franchise, with a 2027 window. Windows Central noted that the wording leaves open whether Call of Duty RTX Spark support starts with MW4, a later game, or only the current release at the time.

Why anticheat matters

On PC, recent Call of Duty games require Ricochet, Activision's kernel-level anticheat. Today that limits the franchise to AMD and Intel x86 systems. RTX Spark uses Arm, the same family as Windows on Arm. Bringing the game to these PCs means porting Ricochet to ARM64.

The reading that Ricochet is being developed for ARM64 is Windows Central's analysis of the announcement, not a separate Activision statement with a date or a list of older titles. The outlet also notes that Epic's Easy Anti-Cheat, Denuvo and BattlEye already have plans to support Windows on Arm. Riot and Krafton had previously signaled League of Legends, Valorant and PUBG for the platform.

What it means

RTX Spark is not being sold as a gaming console. The event focused on local AI agents, unified memory and Windows. Even so, Call of Duty is one of Microsoft's largest franchises. Putting Call of Duty RTX Spark on the platform in 2027 is a signal that Windows on Arm is moving beyond productivity and development.

What has not been confirmed: the exact month, whether support covers the older Ricochet catalog, minimum requirements, and whether it will be on Game Pass. RTX Spark PC preorders opened today, with availability from October 16, according to Nvidia.
