Blue Archive Changes Publisher in Japan: Nexon Takes Over Operations from January 2027

Nexon announced on Sunday, October 25, 2026, that it will take over the publisher role for Blue Archive in Japan starting January 2027, replacing Yostar. The announcement was made during an official live stream and confirmed in a press release.

What changes?

The change aims to unify development, operations, and IP expansion under the Nexon group, as the developer is NEXON Games. Yostar will continue to handle other servers, such as the Chinese one. The service will not end; it is only an operational transfer.

Player data, including items and in-game currency (Pyroxenes), will be preserved through an account transfer process to be detailed in November. A maintenance will occur in January 2027 to complete the change.
