Biblia Koshodou gets a date: CloverWorks anime premieres in April 2027

The anime adaptation of Biblia Koshodou no Jiken Techou (Biblia Used Bookstore Case Files) premieres on Japanese television in April 2027. The news landed on October 3, 2026, with the first PV, protagonist visuals and four additional voice actors. CloverWorks is producing it.

En Mikami’s light-novel series, published by KADOKAWA’s Media Works Bunko, is past 8.5 million copies and marks 15 years since the first volume in 2026. The story is set at Biblia, a used bookstore in Kamakura: owner Shioriko Shinokawa can barely speak to strangers, but with an old book in hand she unravels the mystery and the memory stuck in the pages.

Who is making it

Mamoru Kanbe directs, with Ayako Kurata as assistant director and Toshiya Ono on series composition. Character design and chief animation direction are by Jun Nakai. Takahiro Obata writes the score and Tomohiko Yaginuma directs sound. Original illustrations are by Hagu Koshijima.

CloverWorks is the studio behind Bocchi the Rock!, Horimiya and My Dress-Up Darling. The PV tagline is “Those fingertips turn the secret.”
