Behaviour Interactive, the Canadian studio behind Dead by Daylight, opened a senior technical animator role for a project described internally as an AAA sci-fi FPS in Unreal Engine with a high realism bar. The listing is on the studio site, was read by Insider Gaming on October 4, 2026, and checked by Eurogamer on October 5. It is not a public game announcement.
What the Behaviour Interactive listing says
The Montreal post asks for help building an AAA sci-fi FPS in Unreal Engine with a high realism bar and for laying the technical base of animation, from early production to integrated characters. Behaviour Interactive also asks for rigs for bipedal and non-bipedal characters, including mechanical setups. The realism line does not say whether the target is graphics, physics or another system.
The listing is at bhvr.com.
Why it is not Exterminauts
Behaviour Interactive already has another sci-fi project: Exterminauts, a third-person co-op shooter. Eurogamer notes that third person rules it out of an FPS listing. The studio released Meet Your Maker in 2023 and moved it to maintenance about a year later.
What Behaviour Interactive has not confirmed
A job post shows hiring, not a date, platform, publisher or title. Behaviour Interactive has not posted a trailer or press release. Listings can change or never ship.
