The famous soft-body physics driving simulator BeamNG.drive finally arrives on PlayStation 5 this Monday, October 19, 2026, in Early Access. The BeamNG.drive PS5 launch happens at 14:00 UTC, and the price announced by the studio is $24.99, with final prices varying by region on the PlayStation Store.
What the BeamNG.drive PS5 gets
The console version arrives alongside the PC update 0.40. It includes a brand-new vehicle from day one, local split-screen support for up to four players, visual improvements, and the soft-body physics engine that simulates every vehicle component in real time. Crashes and damage are extremely detailed, something that has defined the game since its 2015 Early Access on PC.
On base PS5, the game uses FSR 3 for upscaling. On PS5 Pro, it features PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR). DualSense has vibration and adaptive trigger support. The game offers around 12 open-world environments, dozens of customizable vehicles, Career mode, free roam, scenarios, and time trials.
What is not included yet in BeamNG.drive PS5
BeamNG made it clear that mods and VR will not be available at launch. The studio aims for feature parity in the long term, but has not confirmed timelines. The World Editor is also not planned for console. On PC, mods and the community are a core part of the experience.
The game remains in Early Access, the same status it has held on PC for over a decade. Free updates should continue arriving on both platforms.
