What happened?
Inti Creates released today, October 22, 2026, the Azure Striker Gunvolt Trilogy Enhanced Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. The collection brings together the three main games in the series — Azure Striker Gunvolt (2014), Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 (2016), and Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 (2022) — with all DLC, visual and performance improvements, plus a brand-new story mode called Azure Striker Gunvolt GX.
On Switch 2, the game supports 4K and higher frame rates (including 120 fps), plus the new GX mode where Gunvolt and Copen form a playable duo with new weapons and the Inspiration system.
Why does this matter?
The Switch 2 version of Azure Striker Gunvolt Trilogy Enhanced is the most complete and optimized edition of the trilogy so far. Owners of the original Switch version can buy an Upgrade Pack for $10 to access the improvements and GX mode. The digital package costs $49.99 and is available worldwide, with a physical and limited edition in Japan that includes an artbook and soundtrack.
The GX mode brings an original campaign with voiced dialogue, “live novels,” and strategic swap mechanics between the two characters, expanding the legacy of Inti Creates’ 2D action series.
What changes in practice?
Players on Switch 2 get sharper visuals, smoother gameplay, and exclusive new content in this edition of Azure Striker Gunvolt Trilogy Enhanced. The GX mode will later be released as DLC for the PS5 and Steam versions of Trilogy Enhanced. The collection is ideal for both newcomers and series fans who want the definitive experience.
Language support includes Brazilian Portuguese, along with Japanese, English, Chinese, and others. The game is available on the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop.
