ASUS Republic of Gamers made the ROG Xbox Ally X20 available for purchase starting October 15, 2026. This special-edition handheld marks 20 years of the ROG brand with a translucent black chassis and gold internal structure that reveals the components.
The ROG Xbox Ally X20 stands out with its 7.4-inch OLED ROG Nebula HDR display. It delivers 1080p resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, FreeSync Premium Pro, full HDR support and 1,400 nits peak brightness. The device keeps the AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, 24 GB LPDDR5X memory and 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD from the previous Ally X, but adds improved controls: magnetic TMR sticks resistant to drift and a transforming D-pad that switches between 4-way and 8-way modes.
Price and availability of the ROG Xbox Ally X20
The ROG Xbox Ally X20 standalone arrives for US$ 1,299. The premium bundle for US$ 2,499 includes the handheld, ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 AR glasses, dbrand Killswitch case and Pelican Protector case. Previous ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X versions remain on sale for US$ 599 and US$ 999.
What changes in practice with the ROG Xbox Ally X20
The ROG Xbox Ally X20 evolves Windows handhelds integrated with the Xbox ecosystem. The OLED screen improves image quality and HDR in portable games. The higher price versus the Ally X may limit the audience, but the anniversary design and enhanced controls appeal to collectors and players seeking better visuals.
