Stardock Entertainment and Oxide Games announced that the large-scale RTS Ashes of the Singularity II will launch on November 10, 2026 on Steam and Stardock's official store.
What is Ashes of the Singularity II?
Sequel to the 2016 classic, known as a "hardware killer" for being the first native DirectX 12 game and for battles with thousands of units, the new title puts players in command of massive armies on continent-sized maps. Players can lead the United Earth Forces (UEF), the Post-Human Coalition (PHC), or the AI Substrate.
The game includes a single-player campaign told from the UEF's perspective, plus skirmish and cooperative/competitive multiplayer modes. Features include Strategic Zoom to transition from orbital view to frontline combat and warfare on varied terrains like frozen lakes and mountain passes.
Prices and editions
The standard edition costs $39.99 with a launch discount. The Premium Edition at $69.99 includes the game, the first three DLCs, and the soundtrack. Both will have a special discount from November 10 to 17.
Why it matters
Ashes of the Singularity II continues the tradition of epic-scale RTS, now with three factions and a focus on strategy over extreme micromanagement. The announcement came after demos and playtests at Steam Next Fest and public multiplayer.
